BRYAN COUNTY NAACP HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
For the calendar year 2025, based on the number of applicants, Bryan County NAACP will be awarding graduating seniors with at least a 2.5 GPA on the 4.0 grading scale, a one-time scholarship of up to $2,000 to cover the cost of educational needs (books, supplies, etc.). Scholarship recipients must attend an accredited community college or university.
Applicants must submit a typed essay of no less than 500 words on one of the following topics: “As a teenager, how would you motivate and encourage your peers to utilize technology and social media outlets appropriately and positively?” or “The NAACP has been in existence since 1909. Why do you think the organization and others like it continue to be important or unimportant in our country?”
Additionally, applicants must complete and submit the application in its entirety before the scholarship deadline of Friday, April 25, 2025. NO partial submissions will be accepted. Incomplete or handwritten applications will automatically be disqualified.

All supporting documents, need to be emailed as attachments to bryancountynaacpscholarship@gmail.com. Hard copy applications will also be made available at Bryan County High School and Richmond Hill High School.
Note: If mailed, only original applications and supporting documents are to be used; Altered or re-typed application forms will not be considered. All documents submitted by mail should be sent to the attention of Bryan County Scholarship Committee, ATTN: Luella Sanders, P.O. Box 1552, Pembroke, GA 31321 and must be postmarked by April 25, 2025.
